Lou Dobbs quitting CNN – again?

Lou Dobbs is CNN’s star business reporter, anchoring a nightly ‘Lou Dobbs Tonight’ show at 7pm on CNN. Now it seems he is being tempted away to be the star turn on rival Fox Business channel.

News Corp-owned Fox Business is reported to be willing to expand Mr Dobbs’ role from straightforward anchor to play more of a commentator role, something he has been increasingly happy to provide. Fox, if nothing else, likes to see its on-air talent express their opinions. Dobbs already hosts a syndicated daily radio show that focuses on politics and listener call-ins.

Dobbs last left CNN back in 1999 when he joined Space.com at the height of the Dot.Com boom. Ted Turner tempted him back in 2001.
